Name That Yarn

In crochet, knitting on July 20, 2013 at 8:38 am

Some years ago (Years?? So sad.) I bought a hodge podge bag of yarn from Knitting Nation in Nyack, NY.  At that time in my life, I thought I would use them all, though they are different weights, in one project.  As time passed, that idea has also too expired and it’s appeal dissolved. What’s left is some rather nice yarn.  The problem though, is that some of the yarn in this hodge podge mix has no labels, no yardage info and I have no idea what I’m dealing with.  And the one that does have a label has no indication of fiber, weight or yardage.

Overview:

6. New Era Fiber Processing Company
7. Zealana Kauri

Here are the unknowns:

I’d like to be able to plan for these yarns, but I can’t. I’m soliciting your help…I’m wondering if you recognize ’em.  If you do, please let me know what you know. If you can, name.that.yarn! (Project ideas welcomed!) I’d like to bust out this stash of mine…it’s rather ridiculous.

  1. I am no use at recognising yarn at all but I can see why you thought that you could use them in one project. They would work really well together. x
